Rules and Regulations

The Mancomunidad does not have any specific Rules and Regulations. The Mancomunidad is covered by the Mijas Town Council Bylaw For Security And Citizen Coexistence.

Especially Article 100. – Instrument and musical equipment noise, is of particular interest in regards to Citizen Coexistence:

  1. The conduct of citizens in the public road, areas of public gatherings and in public
    or private service vehicles must remain within the limits of good citizen coexistence. Especially, and unless with municipal authorisation, it is forbidden to disturb the
    peace and quiet of the neighbours and pedestrians by:
    a) The operating of television, radio, musical or other audio devices.
    b) Sing, shout or any other irritating act.
    c) To transcend the musical ambience to the exterior of a property.
    d) To use megaphones which generate discomfort to citizens.
    e) To perform any activity or construction noise that generates disturbance.

The nocturnal rest period is understood as being from 10 p.m. till 8 a.m. the following
morning, except on Saturdays and the eve before holidays which will be from 12
p.m. till 8 a.m.
the next morning. Likewise, works and other activities that may
disturb the relaxation of the neighbours and that take place in the municipality must
respect the rest period, unless they have municipal authorisation.
